Common questions, answered.
- How long does a typical project take from first call to first production run?
- Private-label programs ship in 8–12 weeks from approved brief. Custom formulation runs 16–24 weeks including bench, stability, pilot and first production. Reformulations and fill-and-finish are typically 6–10 weeks. Timelines firm up after the discovery call once category, packaging and regulatory needs are scoped.
- What does pricing look like and when do I get a quote?
- After the discovery call we issue an engagement proposal — formulation fees (when applicable), unit pricing at your target volume, packaging components and tooling, and a payment schedule. There are no fees to talk, share samples, or review a brief. Pricing scales with volume; MOQs typically start at 1,000–2,500 units for private-label and 5,000–10,000 units for custom.
- What is the onboarding process once we decide to work together?
- Step 1 — signed proposal and mutual NDA. Step 2 — kickoff call to lock brief, claims, packaging and regulatory targets. Step 3 — R&D submission with lab samples for review. Step 4 — stability, compliance and pilot. Step 5 — first production with QA release. You get a single point of contact through every step.
- Do I need a finished brief or formula to start a conversation?
- No. Many of our partners start with a category, a price target and a reference product. Our chemists and program managers help shape the brief during discovery — including positioning, claim strategy, packaging and regulatory pathway.
- Can you sign an NDA before we share details?
- Yes. We routinely execute mutual NDAs before reviewing briefs, formulas or roadmaps. Request one in your first message and we will return it the same business day.
