Why encapsulated retinol instead of free retinol?
Encapsulation slows the release of retinol into the skin, which dramatically improves tolerance without sacrificing efficacy. It also extends the stability window and allows broader packaging choices.
Can we make a stronger version?
Yes. We can dose up to 1.0% retinol, but we will require a longer tolerance study and recommend stronger label warnings.
Is the formula vegan and cruelty-free?
Yes. The stock formula is vegan and cruelty-free. We can certify with Leaping Bunny or Vegan Society on request.
